This weekend was busy. Busy and emotional.

This weekend I had some meetings with clients in their spaces. Some with spaces we have completed, some in mid transformation, and some we are just beginning.

It is real. My business is growing, along with my heart and my passion.

And others see my passion.....

Over Christmas holidays my plan was to put together some words to add to my webpage to describe exactly what I do and how my little unique business works.....

This weekend my emotions we high because the letters, recommendations, social reviews were pouring in from many different clients.

This letter came to me tonight, and my happy tears came. IT describes WHAT I do.

I had to share.

Thank you Liz.

Law of Attraction - Designer Dreams

By: Liz Nicol

My husband, Scott and I bought our first home in December 2010, exactly eight years ago. Our

real estate agent, at the time urged us to buy a brand new starter home. However, despite his

persistence, we opted for a single home within our budget. I wanted a fixer upper. Even though

we had no means of fixing it up at the time. Our house was built in the 70's and hadn't been

updated much since then. I fell in love with the layout of our house. I could see so much

potential. I was obsessed with HGTV, with watching the process of designers completely

transforming spaces. While watching these shows, I would imagine them making over my

house. Even though, part of me believed designers were for rich people with money. It was only

a dream but I kept on hoping anyway. I heard about vision boards through Oprah Winfrey. She

said that through the law of attraction, if you believe it, you can make your dreams a reality.

Therefore, when I was creating my vision board, I put a picture of Sarah Richardson along side

kitchen, bathroom and furniture magazine clippings. Seeing these images everyday made me

smile. I loved imagining what our house could be.

5 years later, I reconnected with Terri. We had attended High school and college together and

bonded over our shared daycare profession. When she told me she was getting into design, I

became very excited that my dream might actually become reality. We hired Terri to design our

downstairs bathroom. Which was a huge task. The shower room was completely separate from

the two piece bathroom. Our goal was to make one, three piece bathroom. My husband and I,

with the help of family and friends optimistically took on this project ourselves. Terri was with us

every step of the way. Offering her design plan, when Scott and I had no vision beyond wanting

a modern bathroom.

From that first initial meeting and throughout the entire process of shopping

and picking out fixtures, finishes and paint. It's been a surreal experience for me. I cannot put

into words how grateful I am that the universe not only sent me a designer. But that it sent me

Terri. She is so talented and fun to work with. She walked us through every decision, was a

comforting voice when we were overwhelmed and had my back when things went wrong. Life is

so amazing. I will never know if my vision board or thoughts created this reality but I know that

she made my dreams come true and I am forever grateful. I'm looking forward to my next home

renovation and extremely excited for what the future holds.
