Designed and HANDMADE :)

This kitchen was in need of counter space...BAD! The kitchen was solid and well made, and the style suited this house perfectly. I had just the solution! I wanted to keep the cost reasonable, give it the function it needed, make sure the style "fit" the kitchen, and most importantly done properly.

BEFORE

Jerry and I decided to take on this fun project and build it ourselves.

We handmade a wood 7 foot long breakfast bar (stools soon to come!) with using the bank of drawers we pulled out that was beside the stove. From my design we cut, built, stained, clear coated the wood to match to existing kitchen all by hand, giving them TONS of new counter space!

This 5 foot long cedar shelf was handmade and clear coated 6 times to with hold the use of objects being moved off and on regularly.

What did we do with the hole that is now beside the stove might you ask??? :)

We put new plumbing and electrical in, built a side to hold up the counter, along with stained matching wood for fillers to give them a well needed built in dishwasher. :)
