Some people are unaware of how import function is with design. With function comes organization. With organization comes proper flow! I know I stated this in my last post about organization but it is SO important in a space!

I am presently working with an elderly couple reorganize there 2000 square foot home slowly. I am working one on one. They are at an age were they are aware that they need to make their space easy to access their belongings.

I want to tell you a little bit about "Her" closets that I worked on with her for you to understand why I stress organization with design. This elderly women has physical and mental ailments and I needed to make her life easier when she wakes in the morning.

I notice when sorting through her spilling out, unorganized closets that she liked to keep outfits together, being outfit, shoes, costume jewelry, and shoes together. I also noticed that when I got on my hands and knees to show her what was in the bottom of her closet it was like "Christmas" when she saw what I was pulling out! There was no way this wonderful lady would ever be on her hand and knees to find things again. So I created her closets to look like this!:

The left closet now has small shoe squares so she will NEVER have to try and get down to find shoes and the bigger cubes will now hold her "outfits"! The right closet will hold the long dresses, jackets and formal wear! She was so excited!
